“At the age of just four years old, during the renovation of our family home, I found myself at the controls of a mini digger. This set off the spark of a lifetime.

After acquiring my machinery certifications at sixteen years old, I began working throughout a variety of industries in any spare time I had out of school. During a huge expansion of my school when the digger driver broke his arm, I stepped in.

I went on to work in civils, earthmoving, forestry and agricultural sectors across the UK and abroad.

In Summer of 2026, we purchased the very first machine of the fleet, a JCB Hydradig wheeled excavator. Ready to support our clients ever changing needs.”

Now, at 21 years old, Ben is at the helm of Wade Contracting. Excited for what the future holds.
